
Mandy started her training with Mrs Shewell Thomas and then at tertiary level at London College of Dance and Drama where she was awarded the choreography cup for innovative dance creations. After graduating Mandy embarked on her professional teaching and choreographic career working in and around Gloucester working on numerous professional shows and pantomimes. As well as this she became part of the creative team at Beauchamp House and designed the original choreography several new commisioned musical theatre pieces.
In 1984 Mandy established Mandy Godding’s Dance Studio. Through her collaboration and vision this has now developed into Mandy Godding’s Theatre Arts, Gloucestreshires only dedicated theatre faculty. She also along side her husband works in schools to develop the performing arts to the wider community and has raised thousands of pounds for charities around the world.
Former Students have gone on to gain entry into White Lodge, the Royal Ballet’s full time school as well as Laines Theatre Arts, Birds College , Millenium 2000 and London Studio Centre. Mandy prides herself on a holistic approach to training and always systematically nurtures young performers to believe in themselves, have fun and be happy!

Michael comes from London and started his professional career as a West End singer and actor. He has been training students at all levels of development for nearly fifteen years. In this time has become highly regarded in Gloucestershire as one of the best vocal coaches in the county.
Students have gone on to have professional success in the West End and other commercial singing. He prides himself as a technician and pulls from all areas of singing expertise to get the students to their desired end result. Many up and coming prominent performers in the county have started their singing career with him or have come for his help when all other avenues have been exhausted. Students travel from the whole of Gloucestershire and as far as Bristol for regular lessons.

Jackie trained at Bristol School of Dancing. She is widely renowned in Gloucestershire and Nationally as a leading figure in classical ballet.
After dancing professionally, her teaching career began aged 19 years when she opened her own dance studios where she taught until 2006. During that period she became and still is a Senior Examiner for the British Ballet Organisation as well founding and directing the acclaimed Gloucester Dance Seminar, the faculty of which included many acclaimed International Teachers and Ex-Royal Ballet Dancers. Many of her ex-pupils have danced with Ballet companies and theatres around the world including the West End. Her 25 years experience and prominence as a Senior figure at the BBO has been invaluable in her teaching career. Gloucester has benefitted from this with many of the active teachers working today in the area starting their career with her.
Although her work still includes examining BBO majors and grades both UK based and Internationally, she is proud to be attached to Mandy Godding’s Theatre Arts Dance Faculty.

Penny began her dance training at the age of four in Charlton Kings. Her family moved to Gloucester in 1986 and she enrolled at Gloucester Dance Studio where she continued her training in ballet, tap and modern until she was sixteen. She then moved to Performers Dance College in Essex and completed a three year professional dance and musical theatre course, including teaching certificates in I.S.T.D. Modern and Tap.
Penny has worked professionally in cabaret as a member of the Brian Rogers’ Dancers, which included performing at various London venues including the Hilton and Savoy Hotels and at Her Majesty’s Theatre and the London Palladium. Penny returned to Gloucester in 2001 and she joined the teaching staff at Mandy Godding’s Theatre Arts Centre.
